MSC Cruises Meraviglia to Sail New England Canada Cruises From New York

After a multi-year hiatus MSC Cruises is returning to New England / Canada Cruising, offering 2 10-day sailings. MSC Cruises is placing their 2017 built MSC Meraviglia in the Northeast.

The MSC Meraviglia is a very large ship weighing 171,598 tons, 1,033 feet long and 141 feet long. Capable of a cruising speed of 22 knots  the 5,714 passenger ship will be the largest cruise ship to call at New York (until 2020 when the Oasis of the Seas begins sailing from New York).

Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Escape Heads to Singapore.

    Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Escape Heading From Manila to Singapore. Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Escape repatriated crew home to the Philippines. The ship has been in Manila harbor for months but is now on the move to Singapore - it is unclear whether she has a full crew as she heads west.  The Norwegian Escape is expected to arrive in Singapore on August 21. Singapore has substantial facilities for ship repair and renovation so it is unclear if the call is to refuel, enter drydock or just to remain local for Asia cruises. The Norwegian Escape was a fixture in the New York to Bermuda Cruise circuit in 2019, calling weekly during the spring / summer / fall, to the island nation.
